St Annes Carnival is back with the fun, community day out for all the family. Let’s hope that the sun is shining and it’s a great day – which will raise more surplus funds for local charities.
Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 July 2019
The Committee work extremely hard to bring you a marvellous assortment of events that will appeal to the whole family and this year will be no exception.
- The Parade starts on Saturday 6th July at 10.30am from the Square
- The Crowning of St Annes Carnival Queen takes place at 1pm in Ashton Gardens
- There will be stalls, inflatables and Games in Ashton Gardens from 9.30am to 5pm
- Entertainment in the Arena from 2 to 9.30pm.
On Sunday 7 July there’s FREE entertainment in Ashton Gardens from 11am to 5pm
- Why not enter the Best Dressed Dog competition and the FUN Dog Agility competition…
- Children’s Games and Races take place throughout the day
- Don’t forget the highlight Tug of War Competition. Watch the teams battle it out for the trophy and even have a go yourself!
Pianos in the Park – it’s Showtime!
It’s FREE admission to an Evening of Piano Music at Ashton Gardens, and light entertainment. Food and Bar available. Friday 5 July from 7-9pm
It’s not too late to enter the Carnival Competitions!
Please bring your entries to the Competition tent in Ashton Gardens Arena between 9am and 10am on Saturday 6th July.
LEGO MODEL (Under 7, 8-16) – Build a model using Lego or Duplo. The design must be from your imagination and not a kit construction. The model should be no more than 12″/30cm in height, width or length.
FOOD ART (Under 7, 8-16, Adult) – a piece of food art depicting an animal. Use any food e.g. fruit, vegetables, dried foods etc.
TRAYBAKE (8-16, Adult) – a whole traybake in a disposable foil tray or on a plate. Any recipe with any flavour. but NO fresh cream!!
St Annes Carnival – Raising Funds for Charity
This is the only Carnival on the Fylde Coast to donate surplus funds raised on Carnival Weekend to local charities.
St Annes Carnival programmes have been on sale since Thursday 6 June. They cost just £1. Every penny from the sales goes to the Marie Curie charity. All details of timings, procession route, competitions and entertainment can be found in the programme.
Why don’t you get involved? It’s a good way to make friends and very satisfying to know you are part of a team like this.
