Memorial in the beautiful Ashton Gardens
Planted beds along the waterfront gardens
A park covering over 10 acres, it recently underwent major refurbishment with a £2m grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund, and is a grade II listed garden on English Heritage’s Register of Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest.
Ashton Gardens is the hub for St Annes Carnival each year, and along with historic buildings, the facilities include a bowling green, children’s play area, and stunning rose and display gardens.
A beautifully restored and well maintained garden, when you are next at St Annes it's well worth a walk through its magnificent gates to have a look at this park.
The seafront at St Annes heading south from the pier is lined with very pretty gardens including flower and rose beds, and ornamental statuary. Plus, here you'll also find a dramatic waterfall that feeds the meandering system of ponds which are the year round home to the seafront ducks and their babies each spring.
