Fylde ACU British Sandmasters Returns
It’s a welcome return for the event after it’s debut on 2 October 2022. Later than intended because sadly, the event couldn’t take place on 17 September as originally scheduled due to the death of HM Queen Elizabeth II.
The first visit in 2022 was a one-day event. This year it’s been extended to a two-day, full weekend of racing. See solo bikes, sidecars and quad bikes racing in a series of contests from 12.30pm each day on a purpose-built oval track north of the North Beach area. Watch some of the country’s most talented riders competing.

The huge beaches of St Annes are an ideal venue for special events like this – and there’s still plenty of space for people to stroll and enjoy our beautiful coastline.
Safety Measures
All competitors must be licensed via the Auto-Cycle Union (ACU), the governing body of British Motorcycle Sport. Members of Cheshire Grasstrack Club will marshall the event.
The track perimeter will be fenced with heavy duty plastic mesh, with additional safety rope and post fencing. Safety and minimising disruption to the local community is very important. All machines will be examined to ensure compliance with ACU handbook regulations. This states sound must not exceed 81db.
After the event, the track will be carefully dismantled to ensure that no trace remains.
