It’s Christmas in St Annes! Shop locally this year, join in the fun and enjoy the festive spirit! It’s time for the big Christmas Switch On!

The Christmas Light Switch On in St Annes on Sea is SATURDAY 29TH NOVEMBER 2025 from 3.50pm – 5.45pm

Celebrations begin with the annual Santa tour of the town visiting shopping areas around and about. Take photos with Santa and free gifts will be available for the children. The schedule is as follows.

  • Alexandria Drive (11.30am),
    Whalley Place (12.15pm),
    Headroomgate Road (12.55pm),
    St. David’s Road North (1.35pm) and
    St. Alban’s Road (Church Rd end) (2.05pm).
  • At 3.00pm Churches Together will hold a Crib Blessing at the amphitheatre in the Town Centre. The event will include music, carols and the unveiling of the nativity crib.
  • Entertainment on the main stage (located in the main town square car park) start at 3.50pm. Join the two wonderful hosts Emma-Louise Jackson and Kerry Rogers for a fabulously festive time!
  • Enjoy performances in this order from – Just Good Friends, Memories Hub Choir, Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts, Theatrix Drama & Musical Theatre, finishing with Across the Boards.

At 5.45pm The St. Anne’s on the Sea Town Council Mayor Councillor Karen Harrison with the Deputy Fylde Mayor Councillor Chery Little will oversee the switching on of the lights by the St. Anne’s Carnival Queen.

The event is organised and run by St. Anne’s on the Sea Town Council. For more information, please check their website.

It’s a great chance to browse the Square and side streets for festive bargains and novel gifts, or a new outfit for Christmas parties! And of course our warm, welcoming local cafes will have treats galore to make this a great family outing. Look out for Santa around the town, between 11.30am and 2.45pm

St. Anne’s Town Council and the local community are once again laying on some extra cheer to help you to get in the Christmas spirit. Plus of course the pretty Christmas lights which decorate the town centre too.

St Annes Christmas Market

Families across Fylde can look forward to a spectacular festive weekend at Ashton Gardens enchanting Christmas Markets. Open Friday 5 to Sunday 7 December – Friday 4pm-9pm, Saturday 10am-9pm and Sunday 10am-5pm.

The three-day celebration will see the gardens transformed into a traditional Christmas village. Visit 30+ artisan stalls showcasing unique gifts and crafts from Bespoke Events’ talented traders. Browse handmade treasures in charming wooden chalets while enjoying live entertainment. Performances are scheduled throughout the weekend.

This wonderful community event has been made possible through partnership funding from Fylde Council, St Annes Town Council and the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, demonstrating a shared commitment to bringing festive joy to our residents and supporting local businesses during the crucial Christmas trading period.

Enjoy St Annes Christmas Market combined with free parking across the town that weekend. Plus fantastic festive offerings from local shops, cafes and restaurants, it makes St Annes the perfect Christmas destination!

Children can meet Father Christmas, with charitable donations helping spread festive cheer even further. Meanwhile parents can warm up with mulled wine. Small funfair rides are extra sparkle for younger visitors, and entertainment for all ages.

Can someone let me have/post a programme of the events for the St Annes Victorian Festival on Sat 1 December giving times and exact locations of the various events/attractions as I’ve been unable to find anything other than the poster you display (which is useless) on the internet and would hate to miss things because of poor advertising. Thanks, Sandy

  3. Hi there just to let you know St Annes Victorian Christmas is now 1st 2nd Dec 2018 together with the St Annes Christmas lights switch on. They have come together so will be bigger and better again this year.
