Beautiful skies and sunsets in St Annes
The Victorian seaside town of St Annes lies between Lytham and Blackpool on the north west Fylde Coast.
St Annes itself is a lovely seaside town, perfect for families.
St Annes town centre is reasonably compact and easy to use - the main shopping street runs at 90 degrees to the seafront with side streets off it.
It offers a really good range of shopping, with independent stores and plenty of smaller branches of familiar high street names.
There are benches and pavement cafes where you can sit and enjoy the sunshine and watch people passing.
St Annes Road West is the main road, and it runs at right angles to join the promenade at St Annes Pier - from which you can enjoy the beautiful seafront and promenade.
Here you can enjoy the views over the Irish Sea, a stroll along the seafront or a walk on the golden sands, and the seafront is where you'll find St Annes' visitor attractions.
Head south along the promenade and you'll reach the RNLI boathouse and shop with the cafe built into the same building - this is against a pond where you can hire a pedalo.
A little further south is The Island complex with the cinema and places to eat, plus some children's amusements.
St Annes is only a few short miles from Lytham and Blackpool.
There's a beautiful seafront to explore in either direction, with miles of golden sand and plenty of space for walking.
